Jealousy in Long Distance Relationships

P289

How many times have we heard people repetitively telling us not to be jealous when someone else gets closer to the one we love? Most of us may have heard this too many times that our ears are already deaf to such complaints. But hey, who are we to blame these people?

You may jave heard others say that it is a good sign when your loved one gets jealous because this is their way of showing you how much they love you. Sure, it may even seem cute and sweet to girls but that really should only be kept to a minimum. Too much of something is bad enough, so they say.

If you and your partner are not always together because you both live in different places</>, there is a greater tendency for either of you to get possessive and jealous. Especially when it comes to those people you hang out with. Whew! I've heard of so many fights just because of pictures. Many may joke about not posting pictures any longer to avoid jealousy. They may actually have a point though. If you know that a certain picture of you and someone else is going to cause your significant other to get jealous, then do not post it around on Facebook or some other social networking sites. A piece of advice, never do something that could ruin your relationship.

Keeping a good long distance relationship is difficult to come by. Many have hoped to have their own fairytale ending, complete with princesses and knights in shining armor, but that isn't for everyone. When you know you have it, do everything you can to keep it. Making your partner jealous on purpose sometimes works, but most of the time it just doesn't help.
