Distance Is Not Forever

Distance Is Not Forever

Simple_plan_i_can_wait_forever_lyrics.mp4 Watch on Posterous
In some (or most instances), we easily get tired of waiting. We are quick to dismiss anything that involves waiting around, like waiting for a page load for instance. We have all gotten used to being in a very fast-paced world wherein we seem to think that we cannot live without the help of machinery.

Just as we crave for everything fast and instant, relationships have come and gone as quickly as well. Although staying in a relationship for a long time is never put in league with those that lasted quickly (say a few months to a few hours only), they have one thing in common - patience. In the case of those relationships which ended up quickly, there was obviously a lack of patience. While if the relationship lasted a long time, there is an exact amount of patience involved.

Long distance relationships need as much patience as those regular relationships (e.g. those who live within a 10 mile radius). Upon doing so, this will help in maintaining the relationship for a longer period of time. If couples are afraid that their relationship be jeopardized by the distance, they should always keep in mind this piece of advice - that the distance is not forever, they are.

If you listen carefully to the lyrics of the song, it actually is saying the same piece of advice over and over. Sure, long distance relationships may prove to bedifficult but people can always conquer that if they will it. Now stop being a cry baby and man up to it. Face the music and sing with it.

Girls, Labels and Long Distance Relationships

Keyboard-heart

In a world where there is a manifestation of global crisis, there are many people who engage in long distance relationships not only because most of us employ the use of the internet but also because there is a need for the distance to be present. It may be a growing "trend" nowadays but I know that not many people are open to such a relationship.

We cannot blame these people for being skeptics because they may have some concerns as to maintaining the said relationship. Like for example, one of the most common concern of most people would be the assurance that their partner would not go looking for someone else. Or, how do they prove themselves to be faithful if there is always that gaping distance looking them in the face and telling them to survive the emotional torture?

If there's a will, there's a way. Now that's a famous saying that's going to be applicable to those willing to undergo long term long distance relationships. Girls, in general, understand the complexities of a long distance relationship. But then again, we can't say the same for all of the girls. If a girl is in a long distance relationship and if she truly does love the guy, she is going to look for ways to be with the dude. However, the guys should never take this thing for granted.

Sometimes, guys forget that effort is needed for girls to feel assured that they are loved. For instance, when a guy asks the girl (who are both in a long distance relationship) what their actual status is and she answers I don't know, don't just stand there and accept that. Labels are important to girls when it comes to relationships because this serves as their assurance as to how willing the guy is to be with them. From a girl's point of view, I would advice the guysto at least make a decision for the girl. Saying "I don't know" doesn't mean that she really has no clue. It's just girl talk for saying "You know what I want. What do YOU want?"

Girls may seem complex because we tend to be so cryptic when it comes to sending signals to guys. But in all reality, we're easy to understand. If we spend time talking with you for days and days, there is a big possibility that we like you. If we don't like you, it's also going to be obvious. If you like a girl whom you know likes you back, go for it.

Regrets and the Distance

Regrets and the Distance

That_Should_Be_Me_Justin_Bieber_HQ_LYRICS.mp4 Watch on Posterous
Sometimes we don't expect things to turn out the way we want it to be. Sometimes, these unexpected things turn out to be the things that we really wanted to avoid. Take for instance in relationships, we do not want them to end, right? Especially if the relationship has just blossomed. With all the sweetness and joy it brings about, we do not want them to change any sooner. But somehow things end up as abruptly as it started.

In the video above, it talks about how he was replaced by the girl he was dating during that period when she asked them to lie low for a while. If we take the situation and apply it on long distance relationships, this would fall along the lines of staying faithful to your partner.

If you are away from each other and you end up missing your significant other, learn to control this feeling and not throw your emotions to a person who happens to come along. Looking for an "alternative" or a substitute is never going to make things right. Instead, let it go. Practice the virtue of patience and wait until you get to see your partner yet again. If you can't wait, why not visit them instead? There are plenty of ways to keep your relationship - just don't do anything stupid and ruin it.

The phrase "that should be me" is a sign of regret. You don't want what happened to Justin Bieber to happen to you, or do you?

Falling in Love With Them Again and Again

Letter
So I was told that voicing out that you are falling in love with them again and again is thought to be some kind of a joke. But is it? Maybe it is to some people who are not truly committed to the person they are seeing as of now, but to those who are serious with their relationships, it would be called sweet.

What do you truly like about your partner? Do you like how their eyes twinkle when they smile and look at you? Do you like the way they blush when you do something unexpected for them? Do you feel butterflies in your stomach every time you catch them stealing a glance your way? It's those cute things that make you fall over and over again. But how do you experience these things if you are at a distance from your loved one?

They say being in a long distance relationship is just the same as having a relationship with your computer or your cellphone. They have a point though, because instead of the actual spending time with your partner, you are spending time with your computer literally. But it doesn't mean that even with the distance, you can't fall for your partner repeatedly as those couples who are in short distance relationships. You may fall over and over again through the simple things that your partner does. Maybe they give you surprises through digital media, like a video of them singing to you your favorite song. Or maybe, a photo montage of them flashing "I Love You" messages on your Facebook wall. It could basically be anything they do that makes you be on cloud nine. No one ever said that if there is distance, the couple in the long distance relationship cannot be as sweet as honey, right?

Remember that the distance does not mean anything if you do not see this as a hindrance. The relationship will be the same except that you guys do not see each other frequently. A friendly piece of advice, make sure that your partner will feel assured about your love for them. It makes the whole "falling in love with them again and again" much sweeter. If I were in the place of someone in a long distance relationship whose partner makethat much of an effort, I will obviously fall all over again.

Don't take the special things for granted because these are those that count a lot. If you have to say "I love you" again and again, then do it. Love all you can!

It All Started With Facebook

P309

Seriously, the above situation may have a great probability of happening in the near future. What with all the people using Facebook to get to know other people, it won't be surprising news that some of us are going to be involved in a long distance relationship.

These relationships aren't actually bad news. Some may even consider it to be a great experience because it really is. Then again, there are people who don't think they need long distance relationship advice to get these relationships successful, however, it most probably won't. Facebook is a tool that some advices could revolve around though givinginformation between strangers should be handled with precaution.

Jealousy in Long Distance Relationships

P289

How many times have we heard people repetitively telling us not to be jealous when someone else gets closer to the one we love? Most of us may have heard this too many times that our ears are already deaf to such complaints. But hey, who are we to blame these people?

You may jave heard others say that it is a good sign when your loved one gets jealous because this is their way of showing you how much they love you. Sure, it may even seem cute and sweet to girls but that really should only be kept to a minimum. Too much of something is bad enough, so they say.

If you and your partner are not always together because you both live in different places</>, there is a greater tendency for either of you to get possessive and jealous. Especially when it comes to those people you hang out with. Whew! I've heard of so many fights just because of pictures. Many may joke about not posting pictures any longer to avoid jealousy. They may actually have a point though. If you know that a certain picture of you and someone else is going to cause your significant other to get jealous, then do not post it around on Facebook or some other social networking sites. A piece of advice, never do something that could ruin your relationship.

Keeping a good long distance relationship is difficult to come by. Many have hoped to have their own fairytale ending, complete with princesses and knights in shining armor, but that isn't for everyone. When you know you have it, do everything you can to keep it. Making your partner jealous on purpose sometimes works, but most of the time it just doesn't help.

Opting For Long Distance Relationships

Opting For Long Distance Relationships

If you take a closer look at the lyrics of the song Miss My Flight by JoJo, you can see that it talks about a girl getting confused as to what her choice will be. Will she go after her dreams or will she stay with the person who made her fairytale come true? If you were in her shoes, what would you choose? I know going the distance is not that easy. It's easy to say things and make them sound as if you do not have to think about it, but it actually is the exact opposite of easy. You have to consider many things before you can decide for sure. It needs critical thinking because you are choosing a good thing over another good thing. Before ou make a decision, look into the pros and cons of each. Don't rush. Take things slowly. But if you are out of time and you need to choose, choose the option you can bear to live with without having to think about the other option's advantages. Trust me on this. After all, you are talking to miss little LDR adviser

I Knew I Loved You Before I Met You

I Knew I Loved You Before I Met You

Whenever this song comes into mind, there may be people who will associate this with long distance relationships. It is possible, though, that there are those people who fall in love even though they haven't seen that person they "claim" to be in love with. I don't doubt that because I know some people who really have been in that exact situation. Call them crazy, but if it is love, it's love.

Listening to the lyrics not only made me think about long distance relationships, it also made me think of how true their love was. Without even getting to see the other for what he or she looks like physically, they developed an attraction. Most people get attracted due to the other's physique, but for those in distance relationships, these don't apply. A piece of advice, love the person for who they are and not for what they are.

KISS - Keeping It Sweet and Simple

A romantic dinner at the most expensive hotel, shopping sprees at your favorite boutiques, world tours, extravagant gifts - don't they sound enticing? Yes, they do. If I were offered these things, I'd be more than willing to accept. However, these things aren't what makes relationships strong.

Many have been blinded by the gifts and material things that their admirers or lovers have been offering them. Sure, it's great to get something from them as a sign of their love but it does not have to be those expensive stuff. Relationships are truly expensive, especially the long distance ones.

In long distance relationships, you have to make them feel as if you were never gone - as if you are always by their side. One way that these couples show their love are through gifts. They think that giving the best gifts are in the form of expensive presents which i actually not true.

See the picture above? That was a picture from someone who wanted to surprise her significant other. The picture was taken before they had a big fight. She wanted to tell him that she missed the moments they spent together, the cuddles, the kisses, the chitchats. He missed all those moments as well. Although it was a simple thing, it made both parties happy. And, it didn't cost them a single centavo.

When you are in a distance relationship, the simple things that will make your partner happy is enough. Keep things sweet and simple. You may hear many long distance relationship advice regarding different aspects of the relationship, but please do not disregard this thing: KISS. In relationships, couples always KISS - keep it sweet and simple. You will be amazed at how far simple things can carry you.
