Love knows no boudaries, unless the two parties involved just let other things come in between the two of them and swallow their relationship whole.

Vanessa Hudgens has blamed her busy schedule for her split from longtime boyfriend Zac Efron, revealing the couple struggled to maintain a "long-distance relationship". The "High School Musical 3: Senior Year" co-stars' three-year romance came to an end in December 2010, but rumors of a reunion surfaced just weeks later when they were spotted together in a nightclub, and Hudgens also admitted they were "figuring things out".

Hudgens has now confirmed they are definitely not back together and explained the reasons for the break-up, insisting their acting roles kept them apart. She tells Shape magazine, "Long-distance relationships are hard no matter what. When you don't have face-to-face time, it's just different. Having an iPhone helped, but it wasn't the same."

But the singer-actress is adamant she will always have fond memories of her relationship with Efron, adding, "We grew up together. It was nice to have someone to share all of those experiences with. It was a good thing. The relationship kept me grounded, and because I was with someone who knew me so well, I didn't need to try to be someone I'm not."

Had both Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron known how to deal with long distance relationships and had they gotten long distance relationship advice from people who had some experience with these kinds of relationship, they probably wouldn't have separated.

If you love somebody, set them free. And if they really love you, they'll come back.

Like any other relationship, long distance relationships have its share of advantages and disadvantages. Some disadvantages would even lead to the couple's break up. And what about its advantages? Are they worth considering just to save the relationship? Here's something for your mind to work on.

The Advantages

1. Couples can concentrate on their studies/work without their significant other distracting them or bugging them to spend time with each other.
2. It gives couples the time to bond freely with their friends.
3. Couples don’t need the permission of their significant other to do this or that (but only if you know what’s right).
4. Couples can feel independent and in control.
5. Couples can feel that “freedom" even when in a relationship.

The Disadvantages

1. Couples get tired texting and calling (for domestic distances).
2. Couples get tired e - mailing and calling (for international distances).
3. Couples get bored without their partners around and go look for a "replacement".
4. Couples fight more often.
5. Couples crave for more physical contact. which is another "reason" for cheating.
6. Couples can get distracted at school/work because they miss each other too much.
7. Couples can get distracted by other hot guys/girls and their partner wouldn't even know about it.
8. Couples can get emo-ish/lonely.
9. Couples can get emotional (mostly on the girl’s part).
10. Couples can get jealous of the other couples they see around them.
11. It hurts the heart, literally.
12. THEY JUST CAN’T TAKE IT, PERIOD.

You know, love is a funny fickle thing that we can play at. We do everything just for the ones we love. It hurts, yes. But i admire those couples who have been faithful to each other for many years. It’s amazing. How do they do it, you ask? It’s simple, really.

They stay together because they don’t look at all those crappy disadvantages. They don’t let those crap bring themselves down. They stay in their relationship because: They know it’s gonna be okay in the end.They know the sacrifices they have to make.They know that they can do it.They know that they can love each other no matter what.They know that nothing is gonna get in their way and they know they can trust each other.

Trust is the key. If you don’t trust your partner, then why the heck are you even in a long distance relationship? Let alone a any relationship! If you love someone (and i mean true love), you already know one night stands or cheating is bad, so don't do it. And you should know it’s not worth getting into. If she’s/he’s your true love, you would know that she/he is already the BEST. You won’t need an upgrade if that’s how you think.

For some people who are in long distance relationships, they hate being in it. They get jealous seeing other couples holding hands and stuff. It’s the feeling of being cared for that they seek. The feeling that you are appreciated in every way. And the feeling when he/she listens when no one else is there for you. That’s how much we love being in a relationship.

Long distance relationships may need a lot of work, but it’s gonna be totally worth it. For those who need long distance relationship advice, try asking the people who have been in one.

It can't be helped that people will end up falling for each other if they talk almost everyday. It isn't even an issue anymore that they haven't personally met just yet. Studies say that constant contact, whether online or not, will eventually end up to people developing feelings for one another. And this isn't a surprise since there are numerous social networking sites nowadays.

Now, it wouldn't be a surprise that long distance relationships will have their own share of haters. This wouldn't be because these people are jealous, but more likely because these people do not have the confidence to trust someone they haven't met with their emotions. Although they cannot be blamed for being skeptical about such a relationship, they should at least leave the people who actually want to be in one alone. Let them figure it out for themselves but be there to support them.

The best people to go to for long distance relationship advice would be those who have actually been in one. At least asking them about their experiences will make someone who plans to be in a long distance relationship or someone who is currently in one become ready to face the challenges of being apart from their partners.

According to couples who are in long distance relationships, it is best to have that positive outlook. Setting aside the negativities will help both parties enjoy each other's company. For example, everytime they kiss, they say it feels like it's the first. And everytime they see each other, it is special and something that they will always look forward to. Also, they say that through the distance, one can say that the attraction is not because of the looks and the physical appearance, but something much more than that.

Basically, the primary long distance relationship advice that will be given by these people will be to keep the trust. And for sure, the second piece of advice you will be getting is to enjoy each other's company and bring out the best of each other even from a distance. After all, distance is just a number, just like age and height. Distance is just space. Your love is way beyond that.

But, they both should at least make an effort to meet. Distance is never an issue when you really, truly want to be together. There are many ways, if you just would want to. When you do finally set a date, be there. It is only quote often you get to see one another, so just push aside the meetings for one day. Sacrifice a little.

Relationships are hard work. You always have to try your best for it to last. Before you get into one, especially a long distance relationship, be sure that you are ready to go through everything that this relationship requires of you to.
