Somehow people have labelled long distance relationships as something that is bound to be torturous and unsuccessful. Others even go as far as getting dirt on the guy or the girl involved just so they can prove that distance relationships never work. Also, there may be others who would tempt you to go get another guy/girl on the hook because you never know, maybe your significant other is doing the same. So why don't you do the same thing?

The above philosophy is distorted but since it's been repeated so many times, the people who continuously repeat the mantra "Long distance relationships don't work" already believe in this lie. It is a lie since many couples separated by the distance have proven time and again that their relationships can work. One example would be the soldiers and their wives or girlfriends. Long distance relationships can work! You just might need to get long distance relationship advice, though.

In the song, the girl sings to the guy she has fallen in love through the internet. It's not as unusual as it seems nowadays, just like long distance relationships, but it's also not as openly accepted either. As a friend had told me a while ago, "When it comes to relationships, it isn't the distance that matters, but the trust of both people." If you are just willing to be there for the one you love, you are going to be someone who is worth waiting for and eventually, someone who is worth keeping.
